SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A 65-year-old man was charged after making a bomb threat against AXATower One on Thursday.

According to Syracuse Police, George Glahn was arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident in the first degree.

Officials say an employee from the fourth floor of AXA Tower One received a call from a man saying he placed a bomb in the building. The employee immediately called 911 and police say building management cleared the building as a precaution.

The Syracuse Police Department K-9 unit was assisted by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit in checking for explosives. Officials say nothing suspicious was found in the building and it was reopened a short time later.

Following an investigation, officers say Glahn was located at the Motel 6 on Baptist Way in DeWitt.

Glahn was sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center.  CNYCentral.com
