Peel Regional Police’s bomb squad was called to Canada Post’s Gateway facility in Mississauga after a suspicious package raised the concerns of employees.
The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. on Thursday (March 22) and forced the entire building at the corner of Dixie Road and Eglinton Avenue to be evacuated.
Peel police received a 911 call about a “suspicious powder” found in a package.
Ontario’s Ministry of Labour also attended the scene.
Investigators later deemed the package to be “non-suspicious” and determined it was a cologne substance that leaked out of a broken bottle.
No injuries were reported.\Original Post on Mississauga.com
